Arthur Weiner, Chairman of the Board
Arthur Weiner joined Talisman Companies to created a new company, AWE Talisman in September, 2006. As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Weiner controls all center merchandising and branding. He currently directs three upscale Fashion Outlets centers in Las Vegas, Nevada; Niagara Falls, New York and Santa Fe, New Mexico. His newest passion is the creation and merchandising of Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont, Illinois and Fashion Outlets of Scottsdale which is in partnership with Macerich. He also does the marketing and merchandising of 150 WORTH, Palm Beach, Florida and advises retail clients.
Prior to his involvement with AWE Talisman, Mr. Weiner was the founder and president of Arthur Weiner Enterprises, Inc., an independent global retail consulting firm specializing in shopping center development and tenant representation. Arthur Weiner Enterprises is one of the most well respected consultants in the retail industry, Mr. Weiner is recognized for his in-depth understanding of the luxury consumer marketplace and unique vision on retail and real estate trends.
Throughout a career that spans more than 30 years, Arthur Weiner has been involved in virtually every aspect of the retail and real estate industries and is intimately familiar with fashion and those who create it. He identifies salient retail trends and leasing opportunities that play a key role in the long-term success of both shopping center developers and tenants.
Arthur Weiner Enterprises directed the positioning, merchandising/marketing, and upscale tenant rosters for several of the nation's most prominent shopping center destinations such as Village of Merrick Park (Coral Gables, FL), Fashion Show Las Vegas, The Shops at LaCantera (San Antonio, TX), The Shops at Riverside (Hackensack, NJ), 150 WORTH, Worth Avenue (Palm Beach, FL), The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass (Sunrise, FL), Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas (Primm, NV) and Turnberry Ltd and Fontainebleau Resorts for The Runway at Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino, The Strip, (Las Vegas, NV).
Mr. Weiner's expertise also covers a full range of real estate services such as product and tenant representation, portfolio management, retail site selection, lease negotiations, and management of the tenant/landlord relationship.
Mr. Weiner is a continual source of commentary for nationwide fashion trade publications and major newspapers including Women's Wear Daily, DNR, MR, Fashion Forum, The Miami Herald, The Bergen Record, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Daily Business Review. In the November 2003 issue of Retail Traffic, he authored a byline article on selecting the right retail tenant mix that was featured in the magazine. During September 2008, Mr. Weiner was also chosen by The Bergen Record as one of four men's fashion experts to comment on fall shopping trends.
Prior to Arthur Weiner Enterprises, Inc. and AWE Talisman, Arthur Weiner was a founder of Deb Shops, Inc., a publicly held women's fashion retail chain with more than 300 stores throughout the United States. During his 12 years with Deb Shops, Mr. Weiner directed the development and expansion leading to an eventual IPO.
